Somalian rapper cityboymoe has been tipped as one of the UK’s most exciting new prospects and his debut album ‘NO BALL GAMES’ has firmly stamped his authority in the London rap scene. Growing up on the streets of North-West London, his music captures the unfiltered realities of his childhood.
The album was mixed by GRAMMY-award winning Johnny Breakwell, who was been widely praised for his work on PinkPantheress' ‘Angel’ for the Barbie Soundtrack, and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering (Bugzy Malone, The Coral, Miles Kane) who both added a layer of finesse to cityboymoe’s poignant rap style.
Having began writing poetry before entering the rap world, lyrics lie at the centre of cityboymoe’s work as he details a wide range of stories on the album, from growing up as a muslim in early 00s UK to his views on capitalism. With this record, cityboymoe has announced himself as next in line behind the likes of Nines and K Koke as the next North-West London voice on the scene.
