Fast rising indie songwriter Danny Mellin is sharp, snappy and filled with a tangible youthful energy. His new EP ‘Where Did The Time Go?’ combines the bittersweet, relatable yet poetic urban outlook of early Courteeners and The Rifles with a brighter, modern indie excitement comparable to the likes of The Royston Club and The K’s.
Mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering (Miles Kane, The Coral, The Kairos), the EP flows between punchy rock grooves, acoustic indie ballads and bouncy festival anthems, offering a wide range of sounds while always having a well-rounded sonic finish as well as his trademark upbeat energy.
The EP has cemented him as next in line as one of the country’s most promising solo guitar acts. After supporting the likes of Sundara Karma and The Sherlocks, Danny Mellin is set for his biggest headline show to date at Oxford’s O2 Academy 2 this June. Already a favourite of Indie fans and music makers alike, it won’t be long before he takes over.
