Acclaimed DJ collective Girls Of The Internet (signed to Defected Records) have risen to the top of the electronic music scene over the last five years, earning them accolades such as a BBC 6 Music 'Album Of The Year', collaborations with the likes of Apple Music and Glitterbox and a host of unforgettable live performances including a nights at The Warehouse Project, headlining the Greenpeace Field at Glastonbury Festival, a set at the number 1 club in the world, Hï Ibiza and a sell-out show at London’s Night Tales venue.

They are renowned for blending a wide range of influences and pulling together the very best sounds of dance music history, combining house, techno dub and garage together and injecting it with a slick disco twist. Their latest release ‘Affirmations’, mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering, builds up a supremely smooth dance soundscape, using a bed of swooping strings to compliment to rich vocal palette of vocalist Anelisa Lamola who features on the track. 

South African vocalist Anelisa Lamola is one of the most highly regarded new voices in the electronic world. Coming from a theatrical background, appearing in The Lion King and The Color Purple, she has since gone on to appear alongside Chase & Status on Later with Jools Holland and provide vocals in a long list of collaborations including on Icarus’ ‘King Kong’ which was named BBC Radio One Record of the Week.

The single has been met by widespread praise across the scene with major industry tastemakers such as Purple Disco Machine, Jamie Jones and Spiller all publicly showcasing their love for the track.
