With a distinct coastal air to their jangly brand of Indie Rock, scouse newcomers Keyside are following in the footsteps of fellow Liverpudlian greats such as The Coral, The Zutons and The La’s to produce a sound synonymous with the Liverpool region. They have quickly become regarded as one of the city’s most exciting new offerings, gaining a cult live following.
After the success of their debut two singles which earned the band slots at Isle Of Wight Festival and Liverpool Sound City as well as a record deal with Modern Sky UK (Crawlers, Red Rum Club, Miles Kane), the young quartet have returned with their latest single ‘Angeline’, mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine mastering.
The song is a bright, uplifting and bouncy Indie bop with gleaming vocal lines comparable to Kyle Falconer of The View and a breezy, singalong chorus that will go down a treat at their upcoming support slot with fellow scouser and label mate Jamie Webster where they will perform to 2,500 people at a sold out 02 Academy Glasgow. The single has already been played on BBC Introducing and racked up over 20,000 Spotify streams and shows no signs of slowing down.
