Liverpool’s iconic synth outfit, Ladytron, were one of the most influential and highly-acclaimed electronic artists throughout the 2000s and 2010s. Their impact spread far and wide as their music earned them rave reviews from all major publications including NME, international tours in Europe, the USA and South America as well as support slots alongside the likes of Nine Inch Nails and Björk and a collaboration with Christina Aguilera on her 2010 record ‘Bionic’. Their music also featured across pop culture, soundtracking countless games such as Need For Speed, FIFA 09/11 and Sims 3 as well as featuring in major film releases including Mammoth and August.
After an 8 year hiatus, the band returned in 2019 and have subsequently released three albums in the last 2 years, the most recent of which is ‘Time’s Arrow’, predominantly mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering. Met with rave reviews once again, and debuting in the UK official album charts at number 67, the new album has earned them the place as cover stars for Blitzed magazine and a spot on the BBC 6 Music A list with the record's lead single ‘City Of Angels’. Sonically, the album takes on a brighter, melodic atmosphere than some of their recent work. It balances layer upon layer of finely balanced electronic textures with unforgettable pop vocal melodies that dance and weave in between the lucid soundscape.
They are not slowing down one bit since their return and have already built upon the success of their 2023 album with a string of sold out American tour dates and some highly anticipated summer festival slots including Poland’s Lublin Different Sounds Festival, Tomavista in Madrid and a spot alongside Orchestral Maneuvers in the Dark at London’s Fulham Palace which promises to be a memorable night of electronic embrace.
