After taking time away from music to fully explore his personal, artistic and musical identity, acclaimed indie songwriter Lewis Bootle is back with a newfound confidence and is gearing up for his next big project. He has made a triumphant return in the form of a brand new single ‘This Is Life’, his first in four years. 

This new single, mixed by Tarek Musa (Spring King, Circa Waves, The Big Moon) and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering (Miles Kane, The Coral, Ladytron), examines the youth experience in small British towns. Although the track is filled with Bootle’s trademark bittersweet tones that cast a nostalgic air, it has an appropriately uplifting spirit considering it marks his return following a great period of self-development. The balance of dreamy, vintage melancholia that conveys the mundane everyday of British life in a Sam Fender esc style, with a romantic artistry and a coming-of-age hopefulness, lies at the heart of the song’s beauty. 

The track has already been met with widespread praise and although Lewis Bootle has amassed nearly 300,000 streams in 2023, he is just getting started! The new project lies around the corner and has got fans brimming with excitement for what is to come in 2024.
