Rising to fame alongside his brother, John, as part of The Pale Fountains and Shack, Michael Head has become a cult songwriting legend and one of Liverpool’s greatest ever musical exports.
Backed by his Red Elastic Band, Mick has released four albums, all met with widespread praise with his debut album ‘Dear Scott’ being named as MOJO’s Album of the Year. The most recent of which, ‘Loophole’, mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering, has been described as a “modern masterpiece” by Record Collector and earned rave reviews from UNCUT, Skiddle and MOJO.
The album delves into a more raw and unfiltered sound that breathes with a deeply characterful authenticity while still showcasing his unrivalled penmanship. The balance between the vibrant, acoustic instrumentation and Micks’ deep, earthy vocal tones is one that is blended perfectly across the record.
Following the success of the album, Michael Head will be performing a special set at Liverpool’s Philharmonic Hall, one of the few venues that suit the majesty of Mick’s songwriting.
Loophole entered the Official UK Album Charts at number 10
