Best known as one of the modern indie greats, both as a solo artist and as part of The Last Shadow Puppets together with Alex Turner, Merseyside music-maker Miles Kane has been at the top of the UK indie scene for nearly two decades. Over these years he has bagged 3 top 10 albums as a solo artist and two UK number ones with The Last Shadow Puppets. Known for his electrifying indie rock anthems and distinctive guitar work, Miles recently took a surf rock detour on his instrumental EP ‘Miles Kane and The Elvis’.
The EP, mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering, sees Miles explore some of his retro influences, digging into the infectiously melodic but oftentimes haunting guitar lines of American surf and psych. The rich guitar tones and grandiose playing style are reminiscent of some of the vintage indulgence on The Last Shadow Puppets’ records and offer a wide variation of sonic textures to enjoy, ranging from soaring riffs to high-octane solos.
This EP follows on from the success of Miles Kane’s fifth studio album ‘One Man Band’ which charted at number 5 in the UK, Miles’ highest charting solo record to date. This album was also mastered by Two Zero Nine Mastering and, together with the release of this diverting EP project, showcases the range of influences and atmospheres present in Miles Kane’s music.
