Welsh Rock outfit The Montagues have become cult-favourites on the underground scene across Wales and the North-West, attracting constant support from BBC Radio Merseyside and Wales. Known for creating a brooding drama beyond your average Indie sound, 2024 has seen the band grow from strength to strength, embarking on a UK tour and releasing their new EP ‘Verona’.

The EP, produced by Ben Harper at the Motor Museum and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering, is exhilarating, combining ominous electro hums with thundering drum rhythms and beautifully dark yet catchy guitar lines. The vocals are balanced delicately in the mix as to have power and passion, but to build tension too, creating suspense for their huge, cacophonous chorus’.

It is a thrilling Rock EP that is laced with a greater emotive subtlety and melodic finesse than most comparative acts and this attracted support from John Kennedy at Radio X who featured them on his tastemaking X-Posure show. The Montagues then followed this up by selling out The Centre in Ruthin and launching the full EP at HMV Chester.
