"... far from one album wonders... "

Wrexham Indie quartet The Royston Club are undoubtedly one of the UK’s brightest young guitar bands. After signing with Run On Records (The Coral), they released their debut album ‘Shaking Hips and Crashing Cars’ in 2023 which was immediately met with critical acclaim and shot to the top 20 in the UK Charts.

They have now followed this up with their new single ‘The Patch Where Nothing Grows’, produced & recorded at Kempston Street Studios by Rich Turvey, mixed by Tom Longworth and mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering . The single marked a triumphant return and demonstrated that they are far from one album wonders. The track has already been championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music and Chris Hawkins who landed them a place on BBC’s Welsh A-List.

The release of this song has ignited a huge comeback for the band which kicked off with a sold-out UK tour in Autumn 2024. Live performances have always been a big part of The Royston Club project as they have become renowned for their infectious energy with unforgettable performances supporting the likes of Miles Kane and performing at Glastonbury 2024. With a Liverpool Sound City headline already announced for 2025, there promises to be plenty more to come from these guys.
