Voodoo Bandits
After a succession of recent high-tempo, feel-good singles, mastered by Graeme Lynch at Two Zero Nine Mastering, the list of industry names that are shouting about the potential of Voodoo Bandits is endless. Amazing Radio tastemaker Shell Zenner stated that they “instantly blow you away” while CLASH Magazine wrote that “each new song bristles with potential”. However, they are not pausing to soak up the praise, instead they have built on this industry buzz and have recently released ‘Fuzz My Life’, a track that proves their advocates right once again!
Hailing from the Isle of Man, the fun-loving indie-rock quartet produce tracks that bath in the carefree joys of youth. Perhaps, due to their island origins, each track radiates a distinctly coastal feel. The sun-drenched riffs are powerfully bright and combine with surf-style vocal melodies to produce a summer sound that is undeniably infectious. This is partly thanks to the work of Producer/Mixer/Engineer Darren Lawson who is known for purifying the sounds of the UK’s best upcoming indie acts such as Alfie Templeman and Pixey.
‘Fuzz My Life’ has continued in a similar vein to their past releases and has attracted attention from both Radio X and BBC 6 Music. It is a very fitting title as the fuzzy garage rock riffs flavour the track with a dense, crashing chorus that will light up any mosh pit. However, the bright melodies still manage to shine through, creating an irresistible blend of dance-worthy intensity and sing-a-long harmonies perfect for the summer ahead.
